Liza Soberano Revealed something about Jane Deleon

Hope Elizabeth Soberano, professionally known by many people as Liza Soberano is a 21-year-old Filipino-American actress, singer, and model from California. She is best known for her amazing performances in “Forevermore”, “Dolce Amore”, “My Ex and Whys”, and “Bagani”. She was also supposed to be the actress to portray the iconic role of Darna, unfortunately, she needed to withdraw from the project because of the finger injury she got in “Bagani”.

Because of her fractured index finger, she needed to have undergone some operations and therapies abroad to make her finger better. And now, after almost three months of being away from the Philippines, her families and close friends throw a surprise homecoming party for her. She was very delighted and happy to see everyone that she misses here in the country.

Together with her is the young actress’ manager, Ogie Diaz, who interviewed her and asked her about her reaction on Jane de Leon being the next face of Darna. She congratulated her and described her as a real “superhero” in the making just like Gal Gadot who had an amazing portrayal as “Wonderwoman”.

She revealed how surprised Jane was when Liza sent her a message.
“I messaged her 'tas nag-message siya agad sakin. Sobrang thankful siya. Nagulat daw siya na nag-message ako. Sabi ko, iniisip ko lang, ‘bakit siya magugulat na nag-message ako’ eh syempre I wanted to welcome her din naman. I wanted her to feel na deserving siya talaga sa role.”, Liza further explained.

Liza also tells everyone that they should not judge Jane or anyone especially if they don’t know that person. Might as well give her a chance to showcase her talent and her passion with her chosen craft. It was a very good start for Jane that she already had experience in acting. Liza first thought that the next Darna will be a non-showbiz personality, but she was still glad that Jane got it. She even wanted to invite her for dinner if she is still available since having the Darna project means a lot of workshops and training. Jane de Leon is a former member of “Girltrends” and had currently portrayed as “Maggine Bartolome” in the hit television series “Halik”.

Darna is a fictional Filipino comics superhero created by writer Mars Ravelo and artist Nestor Redondo. The character's first appearance was in Pilipino Komiks on May 13, 1950.  Darna is a retooling of Ravelo's earlier character, Varga, whose stories he wrote and illustrated himself. It is now official that Jane de Leon will be the newest face of the Pinay superheroine “Darna”. She is a Star Magic artist and the former “Halik” star who portrayed as Maggie, the younger sister of Lino Bartolome, Jerico Rosales’ character. She used to be a member of the girl group “Girltrends” of the noontime show of ABS-CBN “It’s Showtime” and she had also appeared in “La Luna Sangre.” The public was surprised and delighted about the good news and it actually garnered a lot of comments and reactions on different social media platforms. It was Olivia Lamasan, the managing director of ABS-CBN Films, who made an announcement on Wednesday, July 17 about the next lucky actress who will be portrayed as the new Darna.
